Carmelo Anthony & Kevin Garnett Almost Come to Blows Over LaLa

It’s been a crazy 24 hours for basketball stars Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Garnett. Last night the two faced each other on the basketball court, but unfortunately for them, things got very unprofessional. After taunting each other and trading insults on the court, eventually the two stars began to get into each other’s faces. Although their teammates kept things from getting physical, apparently Kevin Garnett said something that really crossed the line in Carmelo’s opinion. After telling Garnett that he would catch him after the game, Carmelo Anthony waited for Garnett after the game as he stood by the bus that belonged to the Boston Celtics.

According to people close to the situation, Carmelo attempted to get on the bus, but was held back by security. Carmelo and Kevin refused to confirm what was said on the court to cause the beef. But word on the street is Kevin Garnett told Carmelo Anthony that his wife reality star LaLa “tastes like Honey Nut Cheerios.” The alleged jab pretty much means Kevin was teasing that he could possibly have had some freaky moments with LaLa unknowingly to Carmelo.

Carmelo explained today that he didn’t want to fight Kevin (it didn’t look that way to us though), but needed answers on the comment he made. He told reporters:

“I wanted to talk to KG.I think it was something that we both needed to get off our chests and see what really was the problem. It wasn’t no altercations, it was just some words and [a] conversation that we needed to have.

“It’s certain things that you just don’t say to men, another man. I felt that he crossed the line. Like I said, we’re both at an understanding right now, we handled it the way we handled it. Nobody needs to know what was said behind closed doors. So that situation is handled.

“Nothing happened for me to be suspended. I just wanted to know what was being said, where was all that coming from. Whatever was being said on the basketball court, where was it coming from?”

 

Interestingly enough, there’s been a lot of rumors going around lately about Carmelo and LaLa’s marriage. Whispers suggest the two are having some serious marriage problems. According to the latest gossip, the couple isn’t as close as they used to be, causing Carmelo to be allegedly a little insecure about his marriage. So we can only assume the comments made by Garnett made  would make him question some things even more if they are on the rocks. And that explains what he meant when he said he needed to know “where the comments came from.”

But as for now, it’s only gossip considering we haven’t seen any evidence that suggests Carmelo and LaLa are on the rocks. So we’re just going to chalk this up to a husband playing no games about his wife’s honor.
