Is Kim Lying About Fertility Issues & Downplaying Marriage to Kanye for Sympathy?

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s baby announcement was without a doubt one of the biggest stories to close out 2012. Confirmed a little before New Year’s Day, everyone was talking about Kim and Kanye’s baby on the way. However, there have been rumors circulating that contrary to what Kim’s camp is claiming, Kanye and Kim actually planned to get pregnant. And ever since Kim confirmed that her baby will be born in July, it’s clear that the reality star got pregnant right after her ex Reggie Bush confirmed he was expecting a baby with his girlfriend. The baby news also comes close to the expected delivery date for Kanye’s ex Amber Rose. So it’s no shocker that there are people suggesting that Kim and Kanye’s timing has everything to do with outshining their exes.
Regardless, it’s clear that both parents to be are excited about starting their family.
Khloe Kardhashian is still struggling with getting pregnant with Lamar Odom, but Khloe has been very vocal about her infertility issues. This, along with Khloe’s down to earth personality, is one of the reasons Khloe seems to fare better with the public.
Interestingly enough, now Kim claims that she too struggled with getting pregnant. In a recent interview with the Today Show, the reality star and Kanye’s “baby mama” (the rapper proclaimed Kim as his baby mama when he announced the news) claims that it was very difficult for her to get pregnant.
“Khloe has been very open about her fertility issues and I think I was always really kind of quiet about mine, and I have similar issues, and so it was a pleasant surprise when so many doctors were telling me one thing and then the opposite happens.
“That’s an exciting moment, you can’t plan for things like that. So I think it’s just such a blessing knowing my circumstances. As much as I would like to be in a perfect world where I’m divorced you can’t plan for any of that.”
Kim also downplayed the wedding talk that’s been going around for the last two months. According to Kim, she and Kanye really aren’t thinking about marriage just yet, and rather focus on their baby:
“It’s something that we talk about, but I think it’s just right now [we’re] focusing on the baby. What I’ve learned in life is — I was always such a planner. You think your life is going to be a certain way, and the best surprises just happen when you don’t plan. I’m just so content with how things are right now. We definitely want that in the future, but I’m not in a rush.”
According to a little chatter in the PR circles, Kim is lying through her teeth about her “fertility problems” and “lack of interest” in marrying Kanye. We were told by a gossip enthusiast who is also pretty heavy in PR that Kim is desperate to make her current situation look less ratchet than it is. Apparently, Kim’s team picked up on how much more liked Khloe is, so Kim’s been advised take the infamous “It was hard for me to get pregnant route” in her interviews. We were also told that she’s also downplaying her interest in getting married to Kanye because it’s incredibly tacky for her to admit that she’s been trying to get married again while she still hasn’t managed to get divorced from her current husband. And Kris won’t back down from his stance on getting an annulment.
We also heard that Kim opted for IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) to get pregnant because she and Kanye wanted to get pregnant quickly, not because they tried numerous times and failed.
We have to admit, if this is true, it’s pretty low down of Kim to pretend to be going through what her sister is going through just to score more points with the public. But she does have another reality show premiering this month with her sister Kourtney, and everyone knows that ratings are priority number one in the Kardashian household.
