Are Chris Brown and Drake suing each other over club brawl? The Chris Brown and Drake bar fight went down many months ago yet more news continues to surface about the incident that happened in June of last summer. The fracas that occured at Club W.I.P. in New York left numerous party attendees injured including NBA star Tony Parker, French model Romain Julien and Chris Brown’s bodyguard. Several women claimed to have been injured from the brawl and Chris Brown himself flashed the cut to his chin that he received during the fight from his Instagram account. That was not the only thing the singer got as a result of the club brawl though as both Drake and Chris Brown, along with the venue where the fight took place, faced several lawsuits. After being hit with a number of hefty lawsuits from those who claimed to have been harmed during the fight, now it’s being said that the rapper and singer have sued each other over the bar brawl. Despite all the talk about Chris Brown and Drake suing each other, a report from New Daily News reveals that that is not the case at all as the legal papers filed by Drake and Chris Brown were responses to the lawsuit that was filed against them and the club by Romain Julien:

The R&B superstars’ legal teams were forced to file responses Thursday to  a lawsuit filed last year by French model Romain Julien, who was caught in the  bottle throwing cross-fire last summer, and they took the opportunity to point  the finger at each other in documents obtained by the Daily News.

Despite reports to the contrary, the legal documents filed by Drake and  Brown were not dueling lawsuits, but rather arguments on why liability for Julien’s injuries should fall on each other.

As for their responses, Chris Brown claims to have not been drunk during the altercation and denies receiving any insulting note from Drake before the fight took place. Documents also claimed that those responsible for Julien’s injuries are not affiliated with Chris Brown in any way. Lawyers of Drake’s took a similar approach with their filing, saying that the injuries that Julien received were not from anyone associated with Drake, with Drake and his people still pointing fingers at Chris Brown and the club owners for “negligence, carelessness recklessness and violations of law.”
