Nicki Minaj seems to be on top of the world when it comes to her career in the entertainment industry, and the female rapper has lengthened her resume quite quickly in comparison to other female emcees that came before the Young Money Head Barbie’s reign. However, Nicki’s latest achievement has a lot of people scratching their heads and screaming foul. Nicki is one of the new three judges on ‘American Idol,’ and this is something that even Mariah Carey isn’t thrilled about. Although Nicki has achieved a lot in her career just a few years into it, a lot of people feel she hasn’t paid enough dues to sit on the panel. This of course is one of the reasons Mariah is reportedly not happy to share the panel with Nicki.
And as a result of Mariah not being excited about Nicki’s new judge status, both divas have been going back and forth in a catty like fashion. The drama has even caused Nicki to get up and walk off the set during taping. This has a lot of people feeling like the female rapper is out of her league, and now it appears that WWE wrestler Chris Jericho also agrees that the Young Money emcee shouldn’t be sitting on panel with Mariah Carey.
Jericho took to his Twitter account to drag Nicki and make his disappointment of her new gig known to his followers. He tweets:
Of course Nicki’s loyal fans and barbies wasted no time in dragging the wrestler in his mentions, but like a “G,” he didn’t retract his statement or delete the tweet amidst the backlash.
Everything he said was true…

From what I’ve seen, Nicki is actually a pretty good judge so far. She’s catching a lot of heat from people who didn’t like her to begin with. But she’s doing a very good job on the show IMO.
I wish people would stop being so hateful to Nicki. She’s doing a GREAT job on the show and I think she is bringing the right amount of criticism to the panel that people need to hear. I don’t even know who this guy is, but Nicki is a big star who is doing her thing, so no wonder he’s on Twitter hating.

While I do agree that Nicki doesn’t have the experience that she needed to be what people would consider a credible judge, she’s really not doing a bad job judging the contestants. However, I feel like all the negative attention that it’s bringing her isn’t helping her or the show. She should cut ties with them and go back to making music, it seems like whether the situation good, bad, or ugly no one is going to side with her.
Cosign. Plus, the Nicki on American Idol hate is just getting old.

Honestly, this was unnecessary, I’m def not a barbie, but people really go too hard on hating this chick. From what I have seen, she’s not doing a bad job. You don’t have to have talent to judge it…so what’s the problem? Everyone is so damn hateful and negative these days.

I actually like her on American Idol. She gets a little weird on there sometimes but she kind of encourages the contestants to want to do better. And she brings comic relief when Mariah & Randy get too serious. And I love Keith Urban too.
Oh and Jericho is a washed up wrestler who wanted to be a singer and that career choice never took off! Maybe he’s mad cause he’s not a judge!
