Kanye West clearly isn’t the typical rap artist in any shape or form, as the rapper and producer is known for stepping outside the box with his music and even his fashion sense. As a result, Kanye has pretty much been labeled as some sort of Hip Hop prima donna, so no one gets shocked anymore when Kanye shows up on the stage with a skirt or mask and rants during his performances. It’s kind of just what Kanye does and despite doing what many people feel are weird antics, it all just seems to work for Kanye. So it should come as no surprise that Kanye motivate shis peers to step outside their comfort zones as well musically and style wise.

But not everyone is happy about the current generation of stepping outside the box in Hip Hop. The other day, a rapper ranted on anew track about Kanye and claims that he blames Kanye for the new surge of “Queer Rap.” According to rapper Lord Jamar (member of rap group Brand Nubian), Kanye should be held responsible for what he feels is a “softer” side of Rap.

In a new diss track entitled “Lift up your skirt,” the rapper takes shots at Kanye and his influence over newer rappers. He raps:

“Somebody mad at my hash tag/ Black man lookin’ half a f*g/With a blazer and vest, I’m just amazed at the mess/Pioneer of this queer sh*t is Kanye West/He introduced the skinny jeans to the rap scene/Then he wore a f***ing skirt on the video screen/Then he wore it again at a memorial/I can’t pretend that this s**t ain’t deplorable/I bet this n***a thinkin’ he looking adorable/Your music’s good but your ego is horrible.”
