Kenya Moore without a doubt is the current season of Real Housewives of Atlanta’s biggest star. And she didn’t become the star without getting into a few cat fights with her cast mates, and having a controversial on-screen romance that might have been faked for the cameras. Regardless, the reality star has earned the label of the mean girl, a label she says she still doesn’t feel like she deserves. Kenya, however, is still speaking her mind when she wants to and she’s obviously not going to let the labels she’s been getting from the critics and the other housewives get in the way of it. Perhaps that’s why the show’s ratings are at an all time high.
When Kenya isn’t coming for the other housewives, and as of late, Phaedra Parks; she’s giving her opinions on other pageant queens. Kenya might have stroke a chord in a lot of people with some of her comments regarding fellow reality television star Honey Boo Boo. In a recent interview with In Touch Weekly, Kenya said 7-year-old Alana Thompson looks like a hooker on stage and her mother June Shannon ought to be ashamed.
Kenya says:
“Honey Boo Boo is not a role model for young women. Her mother [June Shannon] puts her onstage looking like a glorified hooker!
“Pageants are about having poise and promoting self-esteem and self-worth. When a little girl wears a lot of makeup, fake teeth and extensions, like hookers do — that’s just not appropriate.”
While there are plenty of people who agree that pageants can go too far when it comes to their expectations for little girls, some are outraged that Kenya kind of came for a 7-year-old.
But what do you think? Does Kenya have a point or is she way out of line?
Yeah that was a bit harsh. But I do agree that these little girls look a little too grown in these pageants.
Smh. There’s a way that she could have said this without sounding like a b-tch.
