Nicki Minaj’s new stint as a judge on American Idol has been nothing but controversy. The female rapper wasn’t necessarily America’s first choice, and Mariah Carey also hasn’t made things easy for the Young Money star. Despite her beef with Mariah, Nicki continues to be panned by critics for her antics on the camera, while reports suggest her backstage behavior is so disrespectful that she most likely won’t be invited to come back for another season. Nicki kind of gave the rumors life when she made what seemed like a farewell speech to reporters after they asked her if she planned on returning for another season. Despite the drama, Nicki admitted she believes she’s done a great job on the show and she’s proud that she was always herself while she continues to sit on the panel.
As if Nicki needed to cause any more controversy, she took to her Twitter account the other day and ranted while blasting what appears to be contestants who were just voted off the show. Apparently Nicki wasn’t too happy that people aren’t being smart enough to use the platform to the best of their abilities if they don’t win. Interestingly enough, Nicki did make some pretty valid points, and wanted to remind the losers in a somewhat snarky way that losing on the show doesn’t mean you can’t be successful in your own right. She even used Jennifer Hudson as a reference.

In related news, it’s been confirmed that ratings for American Idol have hit its lowest ever. Wednesday night, the show pulled in 11 million viewers, the lowest the series has ever accumulated.
I’m sure Nicki was the only judge who tweeted about this. LOL.
I bursted out laughing at the end of the blog post. Nicki is a like a walking natural disaster She made the show worse than what it already was.
Yea she does have a point but it’s how she said it. But bottom line this wasn’t a good look for her being on the show. I hope the money was worth it because now she is getting ready to get blamed for the low ratings. Like the show wasn’t already dropping ratings before she was on there.

#TRUTH. I’m not a Nicki fan, but it’s obvious the network plans on throwing her under the bus when the season is over and blame her for the low ratings.

Yeah this was a bit much. But this is what Nicki does. She needs to stop showing up late to the show and chill out on her Twitter account. She took a whole two month hiatus from Twitter when she didn’t get nominated for a Grammy, maybe she needs to take another Twitter break until the season is over.
I agree. She needs to get off Twitter and play the rest of the season smart. She’s doing this all wrong This was her moment to get even more fans, but instead she’s walking away with even more haters.
