The wait for the Love & Hip Hop Atlanta season 2 premiere is now over as the episode is set to air tonight on VH1. And after an explosive season 1, many thought that it wouldn’t be possible for the second season of the hit reality TV show to be anymore turned up than the first season was. But after catching a glimpse of some of the things that went down on the supertrailer that was released, that just might be the case. The drama is still going strong concerning Stevie J., Mimi and Joseline but one of the most talked about things is the heated fight that Erica Dixon and Momma Dee had with each other. In an interview that Mimi Faust and Erica Dixon did with Madame Noire, the clip of the fight scene from the supertrailer between Erica and Momma Dee was shown and it was clear that Erica had enough of dealing with Lil’ Scrappy’s mother and the disrespect that she has been showing her.

Erica was asked why the fight took place between her and Momma Dee and she says that everyone, no matter who you are, has a breaking point:

“Everybody gets to their, you know, breaking point.”

And when questioned about whether or not she felt the need to make peace with Momma Dee because she is apart of her family being the grandmother of her child, Erica says:

“Me and Momma Dee were really close. We were really cool, me and Scrappy were just friends. And our friendship blossomed and we became a couple. When that friendship blossomed and we became that couple, that’s when Momma Dee just turned. It hurt my feelings to know like you would turn on me and be disrespectful and say things, you know, so negative and degrading about me. But no, I’m not obligated to do anything when it comes to her. Like, I try to keep the peace for my daughter. But if there can be no peace, then you know, I just stay away.”

Mimi was asked about if she was on speaking terms with K. Michelle after spending a good amount of time beefing with her prior to season 2 airing. And as a response to the question, the clip of K. Michelle and Mimi hugging each other on stage at a premiere party was shown. Mimi may have worked things out with K. Michelle but it hasn’t been that easy to do when it comes to Stevie J.

Mimi and Stevie have been trying to raise their daughter Eva together. And when she was asked about how it is to co-parent with Stevie, Mimi says it’s not easy at all:

“It’s hard. It’s hard. Some days it’s good, some days it’s bad. I never know who I’m gonna get when I come over to the house, drop her off, I don’t know. It’s like a wild stab in the dark. But he’s a great father. I can not take that away from him. He’s awesome with her. She loves him. They’re like Frick and Frack.”

Then Mimi was hit with the question that most, if not all, LHHATL viewers have for her of why she stayed with Stevie if she knew his behavior was questionable. Mimi responds by saying:

“People don’t always show you who they are. I was getting lied to left, right, upside down, backwards and forwards. He’s telling me ‘I’m going to work.’ You going out f*ckin’, doing whatever you’re doing. So I’m a fool because you tell me you’re going to work and I believe you’re going to work? I’m not driving down to the studio with a baby, ‘What are you doing? Who’s over here?’ I’m not doing that.”

Mimi and Erica were both asked if they felt that the women on LHHATL receive harsher criticism than the men on the show do. And both Mimi and Erica said that they feel the women get criticized much more than the men do. Erica says:

“I definitely think so. And what’s crazy is everybody that’s tuning in, for each and every female out there, one of them is a ‘Mimi’, one of them is an ‘Erica’.”

Mimi adds that she thinks that is why the show hits home for so many people:

“That’s why this show, I think it did so well because it really touched home. Like, people couldn’t believe, ‘Y’all really putting this out there?’ So everybody was like ‘What the…?'”

And as far as advice to give the women out here who are in similar situations, Mimi says:

“Every woman knows what they can and can not tolerate or how much they can take. And once you reach that point where you can’t take it anymore and you’re done, you’ll be done. And you won’t be done one minute or second before you’ve reached your breaking point. That’s just the bottom line. When I was ready and when I had had absolutely enough of the bullsh*t is when I left.”

When asked if they were nervous about the second season premiering, Erica says:

“This is Round 2 for us so it’s like we kinda know what to expect, you know, in a sense.”

  1. Mama Dee is crazy… especially if she think Scrappy is still the prince of the south. Let Shay have him, her Scrappy and Mama Dee look like they fresh off from a pit stop from the waffle house. Like they smell like blunts and old foutain sodas.
