Comedian Kevin Hart may be on top when it comes to the comedy scene, but just as with any rising star, he finds himself in the middle of controversy in such a media driven Hollywood. Kevin most recently won big in his divorce settlement, and he’s also no stranger to Twitter beef considering he just got into a hilarious showdown of insults with fellow comedian Mike Epps. Katt Williams says he’s focused on making a comeback post his own legal troubles, and he’s eyeing Kevin’s spot. Kevin doesn’t seem to be slowing down any, especially since his new show on BET Husbands of Hollywood is doing quite well on the network and got the green light for another season. So perhaps Kevin called himself celebrating the other night and went a little overboard because according to reports, the comedian got arrested for DUI early Sunday morning. Here’s the report according to TMZ:
Kevin Hart was arrested early this morning on suspicion of DUI after he nearly slammed into a gas tanker while speeding on a freeway … TMZ has learned.
According to the California Highway Patrol, officers spotted the comedian driving in a black Mercedes on the 101 Freeway at around 4:30 AM PT. The CHP says he was “driving erratic,” “going 90 MPH” and “almost collided with a gas tanker truck.”
The CHP says when they pulled Hart over, he showed “objective signs of intoxication” and was “unable to perform field sobriety tests.”
Kevin posted a $5,000 bond and interestingly enough he told the TMZ paps on his way out of jail that he was indeed drunk. The comedian also said he told the police that he had too much to drink.

Kevin is definitely suffering from the big head syndrome. He needs to calm it down.
Agreed. He’s definitely feeling himself too much these days. In Hollywood, you can be big one day and irrelevant the next. Be humble and be smart.
Hopefully he has a good lawyer.

The way they be handing out DUI’s like candy, people have to be smarter. Just don’t drink and drive. It takes nothing nowadays to be charged with a DUI.

I don’t understand why these celebrities don’t just hire a driver when they want to go out drinking and doing drugs! That’s just so stupid to me.
It is never cool to get behing the wheel after drinking. People need to start being responsible.
