By now you have probably heard about Ray J. releasing a song that was pretty much a diss to his ex girlfriend and reality star Kim Kardashian. The song, which is entitled “I Hit It First,” was meant to be Ray J.’s reminder to Kim that he feels he made her the star she is today, and despite her expecting a baby with Kanye, he feels she will never be able to make people forget that her past with him that resulted in a “certain video.” After the singer received backlash for releasing the song, he then attempted to deny that the song was even about Kim. However, in a recent interview with Civil TV, Ray J. says his sister Brandy is upset with him for making the song:

“This is like one of my first songs where every lyric, I almost have to explain where I was going with the record. I don’t want to say no names, the main mission for this whole campaign is to not say no names. Even though the song’s edgy and the song’s intense — we still want to be respectable, especially in these interviews. … Brandy’s a bit upset. She’s a bit upset. I haven’t talked to her ’cause I know what kind of lecture I’m gonna get. Brandy’s a whole different kind of person. She lives in a different kind of world. I’m way more turnt up. My lifestyle is way more on the edge. So, for her, a lot of the things I do, she might not understand but I can say she’s got my back. She is a little bit concerned and worried about the journey.”

  1. Well I hope Ray J. enjoyed his week of relevance. He’ll go back to being irrelevant again by tomorrow afternoon.

  2. I wish Ray J. would just go sit down somewhere and rethink his entire career. If the star you claim you created has already achieved more than you have, that’s pretty pathetic.

  3. Yall don’t be so hard on Ray J. Kim profited big time from their relationship. He’s just trying to do the same.

  4. He says he doesn’t want to hear Brandy’s lectures, but he really needs to sit down and listen to what she has to say. Brandy’s resume craps all over his. He has no common sense…

  5. The song won’t help his career. Nothing can help his career honestly. The whole suburban thug thing just isn’t appealing.

  6. What did he think he was going to get out of this song? It’s not going to become a smash hit or anything. He got a little buzz but that’s because most people were clowning him for it.
