Sheree Whitfield may be done with Real Housewives of Atlanta, but she still made a recent appearance on the small screen that did not involve NeNe Leakes and the rest of her former cast mates. The former reality star made an appearance on OWN’s hit show Iyanla: Fix My Life. And on the episode, she and her ex husband Bob came face to face to talk about their issues and the purpose behind the show was to help create a more peaceful co-parenting environment for their children. However, just like DMX, Sheree found herself upset about how she looked on TV, and she took to her Twitter account to subtly make it known that she wasn’t pleased. Sheree’s camp released a statement and according to her, it was actually Bob’s idea to do the show. She also feels she was misled by Iyanla. Sheree says:

“Since leaving the Housewives, I’ve been at a different place in my life, a place of healing and self-empowerment, so when Bob reached out to me about doing this show on co-parenting I was excited because I thought we were both on the same page and equally wanted to work towards mending our relationship so that we could more effectively co-parent, and even more importantly I thought it was an opportunity to inspire single parents in our situation. However, once shooting began I felt misled because the line of questioning was centered more on accusations of my shortcomings as a wife versus how we can begin to resolve our issues.

“Although I was caught off guard by what felt like a very one-sided and judgmental approach to “therapy,” what I did take away from this experience is that I must continue to take responsibility for doing the work to be a better person. I am completely committed to making sure that I am a positive and healthy mother for my children and being a role model for the young women that I mentor.”

  1. Sheree please *shrugs* I am so sick of these people blaming Iyanla for their problems. Nobody forced you on the show. SMH. She just mad because she thought Iyanla was just going address issues with Bob but she was sadly mistaken when Iyanla called her out on her issues. First it was blame Bob then now it is blame Iyanla same ol delusional Sheree.

  2. I swear this is becoming a trend. These celebs are going on the show with big smiles on their faces and walk away salty about how they looked when the edits kick in. Oh well. No one forced any of them to do the show. They came on there thinking it would extend their 15 minutes and in the end Iyanla was not playing with them. Serves them right.

  3. DMX and Sheree made themselves look bad. She just didn’t want to face the REAL because she was used to being FAKE and PHONY. I know Sheree and DMX has seen at least one episode of Iyania’s show, so they knew what they was getting into. Guess they thought she was gonna go easy on them because they are celebrities!

  4. People need to stop airing all of their personal business in front of cameras. There are plenty of professionals not on TV that can help you fix your life.

  5. I watched this episode twice and saw Shree on RHWOA the entire time shed was on there. I’m not by myself when I say what appeared on tv she appears superficial. She always appeared to be trying to appear to be trying to keep up with a lifestyle she couldn’t afford and truly didn’t have. I’m not a fan of the fake and phony so that’s why I feel reality shows need to go and bring back more positive and motivational sitcoms.
