Love and Hip Hop Atlanta may be back for a second season, but that doesn’t mean the new-found fame for Mimi Faust has been an easy transition thus far. Although most of the cast members are somewhat controversial thanks to the drama we watch them endure on the small screen, Mimi’s situation seems to invoke the most reactions out of people. And we’re sure that’s because she seems to be caught up in this rather crazy “love triangle” with her baby daddy Stevie J. and his artist Joseline Hernandez. Mimi made headlines a few months ago when she confirmed that she had a new love in her life (rumors suggest that romance may already be over), but one episode into the season and it appears Mimi hasn’t quite gotten off Stevie J.’s bus yet.
After getting into it with Joseline again post moving in with Stevie J., Mimi is once again finding herself a target of immense criticism. Most people feel she should work on being a better role model but Mimi revealed in a recent interview that she has no desire to do so:
“I’m not a role model for anybody. That wasn’t my role that I set out to be a role model when I did this show. My situation is my situation. I didn’t come on here to have people look up to me and follow behind what I do.I gotta deal with my sh*t how I feel fit, not how I think someone else is going to look at me. ‘Well, let me think about this because a young girl might be looking.”
Despite all the drama with Stevie J. and all the criticism she gets for not doing what most wish she would do in her situation, Mimi seems to still find the humor in their reality television fame. Recently, she posted a picture of Eva, her adorable daughter with Stevie J., making what appears to be her daddy’s infamous “rat face.” And she was spot on if we must say:
