Wiz Khalifa Talks Becoming Ruthless & Suing People

Wiz Khalifa and Ne-Yo both share one thing in common for sure. And that is their love for music. Wiz Khalifa is very much enjoying fatherhood with Baby Bash yet has told his fans after the birth of his son that he would be getting back to the studio shortly. And as for Ne-Yo, he is gearing up to work on some new music with Trey Songz and looks to be trying to bring R&B back to the forefront as Ne-Yo is hoping for an R&B Super tour to go down in the near future. Both entertainers did a music/fashion spread for the May 2013 issue of Esquire where Wiz Khalifa talked about the big moment that happened for him in his career where he got the chance to perform with Snoop Dogg, now known as Snoop Lion, a person that he has admired since he was a kid. And Wiz says that it was a moment that seemed so surreal to him:

“Performing with Snoop at Coachella [in 2012] was crazy.  I grew up listening to Snoop and idolizing him.  But not only did he bring me out that night, he brought out Dr. Dre and freakin’ hologram Tupac.  To be in that sentence is pretty amazing.  Pinch yourself?  I had to slap myself.”

Wiz also says that he is starting to learn new ways to get his money other than land endorsement deals as the rapper recently filed a lawsuit against a concert promoter for $1 million  over their cancellation of a show that he was supposed to put on at George Mason University that Wiz feels damaged his reputation:

“I like learning new things.  Right now, I’m learning to sue people and get my money.  After talking to people who work for Donald Trump – smart, successful people – I’ve realized I gotta go after all that.  That’s what I’m going to do that I didn’t last year.”

As for Ne-Yo, not only is the talented singer/songwriter praised for what he is able to do in the studio but many applaud him for his dance skills too. But although he may move like a person who just has it when it comes to dancing, Ne-Yo says that is not the case at all when it comes to him as he admits that he is not a dancer by nature and that he had to teach himself, spending hours at a time mimicking the moves of the late great Michael Jackson: 

“I’m not a natural.  I had to teach myself – or be taught – everything I do.  I just spent hours and hours in the mirror mimicking Michael Jackson.”

The May issue of Esquire featuring Wiz Khalifa and Ne-Yo will hit newsstands on April 23rd.
