R&B singer Faith Evans has had a very solid music career, and now that she is one of the stars of TV One’s hit reality show “R&B Divas,” one would think she’s pretty much setting herself up to make a comeback to the music scene. However, it appears she will join the ranks of other talented R&B starlets as reports now suggest she also owes plenty to the IRS in taxes allegedly. While she doesn’t owe millions like Mary J. Blige and Lauryn Hill, she does owe quite a bit. But things don’t look as bleak as it does for other celebs who have been making the news for outrageous tax bills. TMZ reports:

Faith Evans is joining fellow ’90s R&B chart-toppers Mary J. Blige and Lauryn Hill in a super duper, exclusive club … the “I STILL OWE MONEY ON MY TAXES” Club … allegedly.

The State of California slapped Faith with a tax lien earlier this year, claiming the R&B songstress (and Biggie Smalls’ widow) has an unpaid tax debt for the year 2011 … to the tune of $29,535.48.

It’s a drop in the bucket compared to the MILLIONS Blige and Hill allegedly owe … but it’s def not chump change.

We’re thinking Faith won’t have too much of a problem paying her taxes now considering that “R&B Divas” has become such a big hit for TV One. And not only is she part of the cast of the show, but she’s also an Executive Producer, and it’s even been reported that she is one of the people who came up with the idea for the show. She’s also been doing numerous shows since the reality show, so this may not be too big of a deal for Faith.

  1. The IRS ain’t playing but this is nothing compared to owing millions so Faith will be fine.

  2. Well she’s lucky she doesn’t owe millions like everyone else in Hollywood. That’s a blessing.
