Dwyane Wade’s marriage to Siohvaughn Funches-Wade ended on a rather nasty note, and although he’s moved on to actress Gabrielle Union, he still continues to battle his ex legally in the courts through child custody issues and it’s clear that Siohvaughn has been losing plenty in the legal war that continues to ensue between these two. Just recently, she made an appearance on Dr. Phil and claimed he’s working diligently to keep their sons away from her and she also says she believe he is suing his superstardom and wealth to use the legal system to his advantage. Although new reports claimed she is getting thousands a month from the basketball star as a result of their divorce settlement, she sits down with Jocks and Stiletto Jill to refute the reports and claims he’s abusive and using the legal battle to maintain control of her.

On the reported settlement, she says:

“There has been no settlement PERIOD. Not even close to the $25k a month reported either. As a matter of fact, Mr. Wade is frequently late on the items he is supposed to pay for. I’ve recently received a noticed about the mortgage on my Chicago home being behind $75,000 and my car insurance has been canceled.”

When asked why she’s not working a full-time job, Siohvaughn says she’s currently in law school:

“It has always been something I wanted to do. I put my life on hold when Mr. Wade’s career took off. I raised our son. Even now Mr. Wade is practicing alienation with our children. He’s trying to prevent me from seeing my son’s on Mother’s Day this weekend. Usually the boys fly to Chicago to spend it with me but this year Mr. Wade wants to change that.”

When asked why she thinks he is keeping the boys away from her:

“It’s about control. He wants to control me, that’s what abusers do. And it’s about money. He wants to create the image of a good family guy for his sponsors, he’ll do anything for money.”

She also accused the basketball star of manipulating the boys into not wanting to see her. When asked if she would ever relocate to be closer to the kids, she says:

“Move to Miami for what? He won’t let me see my sons now so there’s no reason to believe he would if i was in Miami full time. And it’s reached a point now where my oldest son doesn’t want to visit at all. My youngest has been told I don’t want to see them. The other day he got on the phone with me and said he was told that I didn’t want to come see him. I have finals, I’m trying to grow as a person. Mr. Wade is vindictive and he’s trying to turn my sons against me.

“I paid out of my own pocket for a mediator to try to resolve the issues. The session was set and Mr. Wade just didn’t show up. No excuse, no call. I’ve made the effort.”

She even cites D Wade’s alleged abusive nature to traits he learned from his father:

“Dwyane learned a lot of his abusive behavior from his father. That’s how he ended up living with my family when he was in high school. But I do believe he’s picked up some things since he’s been in the NBA.”

Jocks and Stiletto Jill also writes that Siohvaughn told her that she is also being punished for doing interviews by the NBA star:

Siohvaughn also said that DWade has resorted to legal bullying as well. She maintains that after every interview she’s done, DWade has found some way to retaliate either dragging her back into court or things such as the incident last Father’s Day where he accused her of kidnapping his sons following a visit. Siohvaughn also said that DWade has filed suit to force her to return to work even though he knows that it would impact her being able to attend the current Law programming she’s enrolled in. She did not divulge what school she’s attending in the interest of privacy.

  1. These poor children one day when they get older they are going read this stuff and be embarrassed. Its time to move on and focus on the children. That is more important than an insurance payment SMH.

  2. I wish this woman would just go sit down somewhere. How many interviews does she need to give. We get it already. Damn.

  3. They need to just stop all of this. They are hurting the kids more than they can ever hurt each other. Just stop!

  4. She could be telling the truth. I just think doing these interviews is only going to hurt the kids in the end.

  5. If these things are true, D Wade will get his in the end. The best thing any of us can ever do is let God get the revenge for us. I hope she finds happiness and peace one day and allows God to fight her battles.

  6. God bless this woman. She has a lot of pain and anger from everything. Hopefully, she’ll be able to move on from all of this one day. Only D Wade and Sio know the truth.

  7. I can’t stand what D Wade did to this woman. She had his back when he had nothing. Show her some damn respect. She’s the mother of your kids you POS.

  8. This is such a mess. I only feel bad for the kids. They will grow up and resent both of their parents for this. That’s how it always works.

  9. It annoys me when I see grown people refusing to get over themselves and just do what’s right for the kids.

  10. Lady please sit down. These interviews won’t change anything. Get a better attorney than the last ones that fired you and fight the system.

  11. Grown people need to act grown and do what’s best for the kids. I’m tired of hearing about people acting a fool when they have kids together!

  12. The children always need to be put first. Hopefully one day they will both realize that and do it.

  13. It is so very sad ,that when a couple, make it, the devil always step in, but God knows the truth and and one thing about it who ever, or both, God will show us his hand,& he is a God, that don’t lie. But In the mean time, I will be praying for them all.and Ms Union should have fell back until all this mess, got straight out, & one thing about it is if she played in wrongful part in this, he will do the same thing to her!
