Nicki Minaj’s stint as a judge on “American Idol” was clearly a disaster, considering her beef with fellow former judge Mariah Carey made more headlines than the actual singing competition itself. On screen, viewers were able to witness the obvious tension and shade-fests between the two divas, and both blamed the other for why their relationship went sour. In the end, Mariah Carey seems to regret she ever did the show, and she even compares her former job to starring on “Love and Hip Hop.” However, Nicki seems to feel very differently about things, and in a recent interview she claims that despite how terrible things went, she doesn’t regret taking a chance and joining the judging panel. She also says she doesn’t have any complaints. Nicki tells E! News:
“My experience was great! It was a blessing. I had a wonderful time and I learned a lot about myself; I learned a lot about the world’s perception of me. And I think it was a great thing for hip-hop to see me transcend, and then I can come back and still do the BET Awards and still be authentic in what I do.
“It was really inspiring, and I got a chance to see kids fulfill their dreams and be part of that. No complaints whatsoever!”
As far as music is concerned, Nicki also says she’s working on a more rap based album, and she also seems to be staying true to her newer and less animated image. Apparently, her time on “American Idol” made it clear to her not enough people take her seriously because of her outrageous clothes and wigs, and she’s dedicated to changing that this time around.
I wouldn’t regret a couple of mill in my bank account. Say whatever you want about Nicki she gotta a hustler mentality and its paid off.

Class!
LOL.
Good answer. She made her money, so I guess it’s no reason for her to be mad.
That’s a very politically correct answer.
Her a-s had plenty of complaints while the show was still on…lol
Well it’s good she’s not out here trashing the show. That’s exactly what people expect her to do. Keep it classy and move on. She didn’t technically need the show anyway.
Well Nicki is not Mariah Carey, so she didn’t need the show to get relevant again. She shouldn’t have signed up in the first place. The judging panel is for hasbeens.
Well it didn’t hurt her career but the beef with Mariah definitely hurt the show (not like it wasn’t hurting before). FOX just needs to go ahead and pull the plug.
Girl bye. *rolls eyes*
