Basketball Wives season 5 trailer released? “Basketball Wives” returns for its fifth season in August, and as always VH1 continues to tease fans of the show with little glimpses of all the drama it promises will keep viewers tuned in. However, last season was such a disaster and resulted in a series of petitions and fleeting advertisers after viewers of the show complained it was too violent to stay on TV. Evelyn Lozada and Tami Roman were the two ladies responsible for the more hostile scenes, and even a series of apologies and interviews may not be able to persuade people to tune in for a more peaceful season. Although Evelyn had her own violent ending to her marriage to Chad Johnson, people aren’t so convinced she’s changed, and Shaunie O’Neal has an uphill battle to turn the same show which featured grown women jumping on tables and stealing purses to some kind of motivational show. But that’s what Shaunie is promising, however VH1 is singing a very different tune. In fact, the network even claimed in a statement regarding the upcoming season that it would include lots of drama and the first trailer released backs up the network’s promise.

In the short trailer, BBW newbie Tasha Marbury jokes about Evelyn getting head butted by Chad, and suggests jokingly to Suzie Ketcham that Evelyn should wear a helmet on her dates. Suzie who is supposed to be a “friend” to Ev, laughs at the joke and gets confronted by Evelyn after the scene before the trailer fades to black.

  1. As usual, Evelyn confronts the right people…why not go after the person who actually said it? Probably because she knows she’ll get handled and Suzie doesn’t have the guts.

  2. Evelyn deserves to get clowned after all the bullying she’s been doing since her first season on the show. I don’t feel sorry for her at all.

  3. Aww now she wants to keep her hands to herself this season. Sad it took her to be damn near 40 to learn how to sit down.

  4. I won’t be watching. I’m over every single one of these women. The only people I did like were fired for no damn reason at all besides not kissing Shaunie’s a-s.

  5. I’ve never seen one episode of this show and don’t plan on ever watching. I’ve read all about it on the blogs and each article has always made it sound like a horrible show. I’ll continue to pass on this show. Actually I think I’m going to pass on anything VH1 does now.
