More Kevin Hart divorce detailsKevin Hart might be one of the top comedians in the game for right now, and it’s clear that he has no plans of slowing down any time soon. Not only does he have a successful show on BET, but he’s also making movies left and right these days. His latest movie “Let Me Explain” comes out today, and he’s busy in promo mode to promote his new film. Kevin stopped by The Wendy Williams Show this morning to chat it up with Wendy about his new movie and even a little about his personal life. Of course his divorce came up, but the comedian decided to speak about his split with his ex wife in a positive way. In fact, Kevin claims his troubled marriage helped him become a better man. He says:

“I got married young. I was 21, 22 years old. Our marriage, we had our good points, we had our bad points.

“I made mistakes and in making mistakes, some men own up to them, some men don’t. In my particular situation, I owned up it. And the consequences of those mistakes was ending in divorce. I think now because of that, I’m a better man and a smarter man.”

Despite his marriage ending in a divorce, he says he thinks he’ll get married again some day. But as of right now, he doesn’t feel he’s ready:

“I don’t know. I want to say yes. Of course marriage is a big step and I understand how big of a step it is now cause of how big of a step I took without fully understanding how big a step i took was then. So now I have a different understanding of it and now I want to make sure I’m ready. So the preparation for it and the understanding of it is completely different.

“Once again, it’s all a process. I think in time I might be ready, now am I? No. Not right now.”

Kevin also hilariously recalls the moment he got snubbed by Janet Jackson. Check out the full interview below:

  1. I honestly think Kevin just got the big head and starting doing what he wanted to. His wife wasn’t having it and left him. I hope he’s a better person now, but he still seems really arrogant to me.

  2. It just irks me when some men like to say ish like this. So Kevin treated his first wife like ish that held him down when nobody knew his name but gonna be a better husband to a woman that came after the fame. Oh so now you respect marriage. *rolls eyes*

  3. I think his wife was the woman for him. She was with him when he was broke and trying to get on. It’s funny how some men will mistreat the women who were loyal just to be with someone who only came into the picture AFTER they became successful.

  4. He just needs to stop talking about this. Every time he brings it up he says something will f-cked up.
