Magna Carta Holy Grail platinum already? Jay-Z is clearly winning these days as the rapper and business man not only proved he can be a force to be reckoned with when it comes to running a sports agency, but he’s also still a trailblazer when it comes to Hip Hop. As we reported recently, Jay-Z made history by inking a deal with Samsung that would ensure one million of his fans and Samsung owners would get a free copy of his new album “Magna Carta Holy Grail” delivered to their phones, but the rules in album sales were completely rewritten by the RIAA therefore making it official that the Samsung downloads did count as album sales. Therefore Jay-Z went platinum in one day and is still expected to sell over 300K copies in the first week of sales.
The RIAA presented Jay-Z with a platinum plaque on Tuesday for his hot new album which is also expected to nab the number one spot on the charts next week despite one million people already having a copy of the album downloaded to their phones since July 3. Ace Showbiz reports:
Roc Nation mogul Jay-Z adds another milestone to his illustrious music career by getting his 12th platinum album award via his just released “Magna Carta… Holy Grail”, which easily sold one million copies via the clever Samsung Galaxy device app deal. The 43-year-old rap superstar was presented with the plaque by the Recording Industry Association of America.
Of course Jay’s new deal with Samsung has been met with criticism, but there’s one person who’s proud of his new platinum plaque regardless of the skeptics. And of course, that’s his wife Beyonce.
Bey took to her Instagram account to brag on her hubby’s new platinum status and cutely told his haters to “Bow Down.” She posted the following photo and writes in the caption:

I don’t see why anyone can hate on this. Considering how terrible album sales have been for albums for the last decade, why not make your money upfront by a company willing to pay? It’s not like the album wasn’t going to go platinum anyway. Jay basically got paid upfront to do what he was going to do anyway. That’s smart. You can tell the business minded from the small minded when this topic comes up.
Winning. When the RIAA rewrites rules for you, you’re a boss.

I don’t know why people think they can stop Jay-z it’s laughable. Bey always holding Jay down like a real woman should. PS I just love that On the run song “I will hold your heart and your gun” yes I love Jay and Bey.
Jay-Z is a very smart man with lots of drive. And because of that, he will have plenty of people to criticize him. The deal he inked with Samsung was GENIUS. To say otherwise is hating IMHO.
