Phaedra Parks sues Angela Stanton for $30 million? Phaedra Parks might be gearing up to shoot another season of “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” however the reality star and new mother to baby number two is also gearing up for a battle in court. As we reported recently, a woman by the name of Angela Stanton authored a book that accuses Phaedra of having a crime filled past and Phaedra has decided to fight back with a lawsuit. Although Phaedra was able to get the book pulled from being sold any further online, Phaedra is seeking $30 million for damages and accusing the author of committing defamation against her character. Phaedra might have one up already on the author considering Angela Stanton’s lawyer just dumped her. Access Atlanta reports:

Court documents state that Stanton needs to find a new lawyer as her past attorney has parted ways with her. Paperwork filed earlier this month indicates that attorney Eddie Beal had been “representing Stanton on a pro bono basis, always with the understanding that she would secure other counsel.”

Court documents state that “due largely to her depressed financial situation, Stanton has been unable to secure another attorney” but that she “believes she can secure the services of another attorney within the next two months and that the case could be ready for trial within the next five months.”

Beal filed notice he was withdrawing as Stanton’s attorney. Included in the case file is a letter sent to her in which he states: “I will no longer represent you in your case in which you are a defendant. I am terminating my attorney-client relationship with you because we have irreconcilable philosophical differences regarding how your case should be handled.”

Phaedra is requesting a trial by jury regarding her suit filed against the author of the e-book entitled “Lies Of A Real Housewife” and Augustus Publishing/Fame Productions, the owner of the website articles were published on regarding the book (Vibe).

The reality star is seeking $5 million in compensatory damages and $25 million in punitive damages.

  1. It sounds like Angela is going to have to back up what she is saying about Phaedra or pay up for lying. Time will tell.

    1. Incredibly stupid logic. So everyone that sues someone for lying about them only does it because it’s not true? Do you hear yourself?

  2. Phaedra, now you know you we’re pimpin back in the day. Why even sue? Ain’t no one buying your former trick’s book?
