Ciara may have found another hit with her single “Body Party,” but the singer is still struggling in album sales when it comes to her current album “Ciara.” Despite all the hype and buzz the singer garnered with the hit R&B single, her beef with Rihanna, and very public romance with rapper Future; the album only sold 57,000 copies its first week. And the second week was even more disappointing considering Ciara’s album dropped 20 spots in week number two. Her record label made the choice to start selling the album on Groupon with a compilation of Ciara’s old hits in a bid to drastically increase album sales. Singersroom reported:
In an effort to boost sales, the Grammy winner has teamed with discount outlet Groupon to offer a 2-CD bundle package, which includes the ‘Ciara’ album and ‘The Very Best of Ciara’ playlist. ‘Ciara’ features collaborations with Nicki Minaj and Future and is lead by the singles “Body Party” and “I’m Out” while ‘The Very Best of Ciara’ includes 14 of Ciara’s hits (“Goodies,” “Promise,” “Like a Boy,” and more).
Ciara has already made it clear that she wasn’t worried about album sales this time around and is very happy with where she is in life. She also says she felt like she made music that was more true to her and she’s happy she opened up and shared so much more of herself.
The singer took to her Instagram account amidst the reports of selling her album on Groupon and made it clear she feels good about where she is and she’s keeping it positive. She posted the following photo and writes in the caption:

Uh that’s great and all but ignoring a problem won’t make it go away.

Ciara album was solid. I still to this day don’t understand how Ciara and Ashanti fell off so bad musically. I was never a big fan of Ashanti but she was big star at one time but I was big Ciara fan in high school her first 2 albums were great they were bangers I still listen to songs from the first album. Unless she gets a new team and start from scratch Ciara need a new hustle because this is embarrassing.
Her focus is on dingaling right now. LOL.
Ciara flops so much it doesn’t even bother her anymore.

Ciara should’ve been spending all that time talking about Future and supposed Rihanna beef in the studio looking for better songs and producers. At this point, her career is a wrap and she needs to start looking at plan b. By the way, changing the hair up won’t get you more interest from the press, Ci.

If I read another article on here correctly, this album sold a considerable amount in comparison to her older albums. Assuming that’s correct, then maybe this is a bright side for her. I mean…. *shrug* whatever.
