Rapper Drake has achieved lots of success and managed to become one of the most popular names in Hip Hop for the last few years. Even today he’s still cranking out the hits, so it’s clear he has the potential to achieve the kind of longevity a lot young rappers wish they could have. But with that kind of fame comes drama, and although it’s unlikely Drake is hurting for any money these days, a new lawsuit from his former stylist is probably the last thing he wants to deal with as he is working diligently to release his third studio album “Nothing Was the Same.”

According to a new report from the New York Post, the rapper is being sued by his former stylist because he claims he never paid her for any of his services. The publication got its hands on the court documents in which Michael Raphael says he’s owed $40,000. Rapheal is claiming he was hired last August to be Drake’s personal shopper and to create a signature wardrobe for the “Started from the Bottom” rapper.

The stylist claims he even moved to Toronto, Canada to best provide his services, however, he was terminated just months later in December. Drake’s camp allegedly asked him to continue working on outstanding projects despite getting the axe. In the paperwork filed to the Manhattan Supreme Court, the stylist says he was also not paid for the work he did on the outstanding projects.

As proof, Rapheal submitted receipts from purchases he made at places like Foot Locker and J Crew claiming these are purchases he made on his own debit card and was never reimbursed for. Once Rapheal tacked on his monthly salary to his traveling costs, he claims Drake owes him $76,490.

Drake’s camp hasn’t commented as of yet on the lawsuit.
