Lamar Odom career over? Lamar Odom has had the craziest week in headline news considering it was just last Sunday that TMZ and multiple websites began to report that the NBA star is allegedly suffering from a serious substance abuse problem that has led his marriage to Khloe Kardashian to falter. Prior to the reports of substance abuse, it was already alleged that Lamar was not being faithful to his reality star wife and some of his alleged mistresses have been talking to the press and selling their stories of the alleged affairs to the tabloids. Despite Kardashian insiders claiming Khloe is convinced that Lamar hasn’t been faithful, those close to the family say the real issue is his alleged substance abuse issues. While TMZ is reporting he’s addicted to crack, the New York Daily News says he’s addicted to “nose candy,” while Radar Online says he’s actually addicted to prescription drugs. Lamar’s camp hasn’t denied or confirmed any of the reports, but his agent did say recently that despite a report suggesting the professional athlete had gone missing, Khloe has always know his exact whereabouts.
With all the drama going on surrounding Lamar’s alleged addiction, it’s no shocker the LA Clippers have decided against re-signing him for the upcoming NBA season. While there are some reports claiming the Lakers may still sign him, it’s looking more and more unlikely that him rejoining the Lakers could happen now that he’s also dealing with a recent DUI arrest. Interestingly enough, a general manager in the NBA says he believes Lamar’s career is over. The unnamed manager (he requested to remain anonymous) tells Sporting News:
“Just going by what he is giving you on the court, he would have been a risk anyway, maybe someone you give a partial guarantee to just to see if he can turn things around. But with the circus that’s around him off the court now, no way. I think that’s the end of Lamar Odom in the NBA. It’s a shame.”
In related news, TMZ is now reporting that Khloe has once again kicked Lamar out of their home. According to the website, the last straw for Khloe was the DUI arrest. She reportedly had to find out about the arrest from TMZ because sources claim the athlete didn’t tell her about it. The site claims Khloe tried to get through to Lamar, but the conversation went nowhere. She reportedly told him to get an apartment and he can’t return home until he completes rehab.
His career was over the day he married a Kardashian. I’m not sure why these men don’t seem to understand that.

There’s some awful karma that seems to follow that family. I don’t know what they did, but whoever aligns with them ends up screwed terribly in the end. No one is immune from it. Not even Kanye. And it’s already starting with him considering his last album is struggling.
Welp! I saw this coming! I hope he gets help and everything but I don’t believe for a minute he’s on crack. Just don’t. I think the K’s are just trying to ruin him for sleeping around.

When people usually do drugs it’s because they are unhappy about something. I think the combination of dealing with that family, losing a spot on the lakers and just being married to Khloe pushed him to the edge.
Damn son. Oh well. Another one suffers at the hands of the Kardashians.
He married Khloe after 4 weeks. I hope he learned a valuable lesson.

I feel bad for him. I don’t know if his affillation with the K family has anything to do with anything. What I do know is his mom died when he was young, his dad had a heroin problem and now expects things to be handed to him, he lost a baby to SIDS, he loves basketball obviously and has had trouble with his career the last coupla years, he and his wife are having trouble conceiving……the list is endless. That’s a lot of loss for one person to bear and I feel for him or anyone in that position. You start doing a drug to forget the pain for 2 minutes and pretty soon it gets away from you. I have seen versions of this happen to people who aren’t famous. I hope he can get it together soon….
Its digusting that u guys are blaming it on her regardless of how u feel about the family this a real couple with real issues. Lamar better get it together. I hate to see another beautiful black brother down… Poor Khloe keep ya head up and dnt give up so easily… better or worst…
