R&B singer Chris Brown quickly became public enemy number one after he assaulted then girlfriend Rihanna on the night of the 2009 Grammys, and the singer hasn’t been able to get back into the public’s good graces ever since. Just in the last two years alone, Chris has racked up more legal troubles and his recent fight with Frank Ocean in the parking lot of a recording studio had many thinking he hasn’t learned anything from the incident with Rihanna. Chris escaped jail time as a result of hit and run charges, but he went on a serious Twitter rant after the judge told him he had to redo 1000 hours of his community service. In the rant, Chris slammed the prosecutors for making him redo his hours, and he even took shots at Beyonce and Jay Z. And if that wasn’t enough, he had some more words for Jay Z in his recent interview with JET Magazine, and he said he feels like Jay Z gets a pass on his past of crime, while the media is much harder on him for what happened with Rihanna. He said:

“No disrespect, because I’m a fan, but nobody brings up the fact that [Jay Z] stabbed somebody and sold drugs. He gets a pass.”

Chris suffered a lot of backlash for his comments on Jay Z, but we’re thinking no one slammed him harder than daytime talk queen Wendy Williams. During today’s popular Hot Topics segment of the show, Wendy went all the way in and basically told the singer he needs to take responsibility for his own actions. She also claimed there’s no comparison between Jay and Chris because Jay Z stabbed someone when he wasn’t a big star and he sold drugs before he even began rapping. Wendy says:

“You were less than smart to try and blame Jay Z. You need to blame yourself, young man. You’re a woman beater, you’re disrespectful, you threw a chair out the window at ‘Good Morning America.’ You’re an attention whore. What ever happened to that cute young man that used to dance for the Doublemint Gum? What ever happened to him?

“Now I get that all boys grow up into a man. You look like a junkie. You got those nasty tattoos, you’re way too skinny. You don’t seem to have respect for much at all. You beat the stew out of Rihanna and you’re with that Koochie Kran right now.”

Wendy then goes on to say that if Chris wants to improve his image, he needs to date a famous woman who has a good image and dating Rihanna again won’t work because she’s become a pretty controversial celeb herself. The talk show host also warned Chris not to come for her in one of his Twitter rants because she won’t respond.

  1. She told the truth. I like Chris but he shouldn’t have came for Jay Z like he did. Now it only brings more attention to his own issues. It makes people feel like he won’t take responsibility for his own actions. It just wasn’t a good look.

  2. Chris needs to learn how to keep his mouth closed. Those comments made him look like a whiny brat. Seriously, where is his publicist?

  3. I see no lies. Chris needs to get over himself. People keep dragging him because he has not show in any way that he’s changed.

  4. I personally think that this is a bit much. His comment was taken out of context if it is believed that he’s “blaming” Jay Z. I think he simply used that as an example to say that others have done things that are frowned upon, morally wrong, etc., but have continued to be successful without having their past continually brought up and used against them. It’s like people got all sensitive or whatever because he mentioned Jay Z. The dude isn’t invincible and he too has a past. People need to move on, live and let live.

  5. I bet Chris regrets he even said this because it is everywhere now! But I honestly feel like he just doesn’t see the huge difference between him and Jay. Jay does not sell drugs anymore, no has he been violent to anyone since Un. So he’s already proven to the public that he’s changed. Chris has not. He’s been in two fights that we’ve known about since the Rihanna incident, and he’s always spazzing out on Twitter. That makes him look like he has not changed! He has to stop acting like a victim and move forward.

  6. Wendy STFU! Your life is a hot mess too. Your husband cheats and I heard he hits you too. Don’t try to act all high and mighty now!

  7. Lord have mercy. I’m not saying Chris hasn’t been wrong on numerous occasions, but let’s not act like people don’t go too hard on him and they don’t do that for other men who have assaulted women. They do not go this hard on Charlie Sheen. it’s a double standard and it’s not fair.

  8. Chris needs to start taking responsibility for the things that he does. He acts like a momma’s boy and he’s always the victim. Smh.

  9. I don’t mind Chris, but I think he deserves some of the backlash he’s getting for these comments…now with that being said Wendy Williams is the last one to comment on anything about anyone. I think some of the stuff she says is funny and some of it has a little truth (including some of the stuff she said about Chris), but anyone that takes her seriously is foolish because she’s a nothing but a plastic coon with too much tv time.

  10. I get where Chris is coming from. Everyone has a past and some of those things we did in our past we may not be so proud of and regret, but imagine all of that playing out in the media and public eye. After that incident with between Chris and Rihanna he was looked at as a villain. I don’t condone what happened, but I believe he deserved a second chance. I feel like when Chris dropped his album FAME the media was starting to come back around, but when he got back with Rihanna some people felt like that was a bad move and then came more backlash. I think that sometimes we forget that celebs are human too and the media can be harsh. There are quite a few entertainers who are men and not just black men who have laid there hands on a woman including Jay Z (if the video I saw was correct) and they have went on with their careers and life and it is hardly mentioned. The difference is is that we have social media, blogs, and leaked pictures and videos so things are different now. Social media can be your best friend one moment and your worst enemy the next. Just like in real life sometimes they build you up, only to break you down. Sometimes people like to see you fail and just like in real life as well as Hollywood there are those who want you to succeed, but then there are those who want to see you fall down. I didn’t see when Wendy said that, but if it was said out of real concern for his well being okay, but if not then she should tread lightly.

  11. Wendy instead of downing our young black men go help them. Your no better than Chris. You have been beat down and on drugs. Just because Chris likes his tattoos, you like your implants and tucks so there is no room to talk bad about him.You keep calling him a woman beater, what if your husband came home and gave you something. Never know, your son might be a fan of Chris Browm you’ll never know.

  12. Chris just needs to dance and sit his a$$ down somewhere. That’s why you have to think before you do things when you’re mad becuz the end result can be costly once you’ve calmed down and realized you effed up. Momma’s boys like him always seek to blame others for their f-ck ups, I agree with Wendy!
