Season three of “Love and Hip Hop New York” closed out with disappointing ratings and it was made clear that fans of the show were not interested in most of the cast from last season. So VH1 made the smart choice of giving most of them the pink slip, and they confirmed recently the new women the show would focus on more this time around. With the addition of Erica Mena’s new girlfriend, it’s clear that the drama has turned up a notch for the new season. Fan favorites Joe Budden, Tahiry Jose, Yandy Smith, Rich Dollaz and of course Erica Mena are returning with a few new faces; and K Michelle has also joined the cast in a minor role.
The network recently released a sneak peek of what’s to come this season, and although it gave a small glimpse of all the drama to expect, the supertrailer gives a much extended look into all the affairs and fights to expect from the season four cast.
Erica Mena’s new romance with her stripper girlfriend hits a rough patch after Erica realizes dating a stripper might not be for her after all. This of course leads to both women almost coming to blows. And Rich Dollaz still hasn’t walked away from the fiery reality star despite the obvious signs that he needed to from last season.
New show regular Peter Gunz is the new Stevie J. as he’s found himself in the middle of a pretty crazy love triangle that may end in a secret marriage which may leave his longtime girlfriend Tara Wallace out in the cold.
Joe Budden and Tahiry are still trying to figure out if they should be together. However, that hasn’t stopped Joe from entertaining other women, much to Tahiry’s disgust.
Yandy Smith is still struggling to cope with the fact that Mandeecees (Mendeecees) Harris is in prison for federal drug charges and she has no idea when he will get out. She breaks down in tears when she hears he may have to spend 20 plus years in the joint. But she still manages to find time to start a label with Rich Dollaz despite the emotional toll the situation has taken on her life.

LHHNY returns October 28.
Sigh…
Erica Mena really gets in my last nerves. Why is she still on the show anyway?
She’s still on the show because she’s ratchet and will do anything to keep her spot on there. She’s a perfect puppet for Mona.
Exactly.
Same old, same old!
Eh, looks boring to me. All of this has been done by ATL already.
Fake. All of it.
LOL is there anyone Erica won’t try to fight? That girl has some serious issues.
Yawn. I only like Yandy and K. Michelle. I don’t care about anyone else on the show so I don’t see myself really watching it.
So the other hood soap opera is back. Looks blah to me. I guess because none of it looked real.
Can’t wait! Looks like it’s going to be better than last season!
