Drake seems to be sitting on top of the world right now musically as his latest album “Nothing Was the Same” is the number one album in the country and the album sold 659,000 copies in its first week. The rapper revealed in a recent interview that one of his biggest goals is to surpass Kanye West musically, and it appears he’s already well on his way considering “Nothing Was the Same” has already outsold the total sales of “Yeezus.” Even though it looks as if he may have a new rap beef on his hands with once friend Kendrick Lamar, Drake says longevity and consistency are the most important things to him at this point and he’s not worried about the Compton emcee. However, it looks like Kendrick isn’t the only artist taking jabs, as Future may have thrown some too in his recent interview with Billboard.

According to the music publication, when asked about Drake’s new album, Future says:

“Drake made an album that is full of hits but it doesn’t grab you. They’re not possessive; they don’t make you feel the way I do. I want to make you want to fall in love.”

Future got a lot of backlash for his comments and he recently took to his Twitter account to deny that he said the quote. He instead blamed Billboard for printing what he claims is a “misquote”:

Interestingly enough, Future didn’t deny saying he feels his music is better than most of music put out by the rappers he’s collaborated with:

“I’ve been on the songs of all these rappers that put out an album, and my music is still better.”

  1. Sigh…Future spends most of his time talking about how much better he is than everyone else. Still doesn’t make it true.

  2. Future shut up because Drake has more talent in his thumb then you will ever have and I’m just being HONEST!

  3. If it wasn’t for rihanna song i don’t think he would be getting interview with billboard no one who’s important knew who the fool was before that rihanna duet.
