Songwriter and singer Ne-Yo is one of the biggest names in music and he’s worked with so many musical superstars that it’s kind of hard to believe that he may have allegedly walked out on a $800 restaurant bill. However, the NY Daily News is accusing the artist of doing just that and they claim the restaurant he reportedly stiffed is outraged. According to the publication, Ne-Yo and a large group of about 10 friends showed up to West Village restaurant Negirl on Monday, and it’s being reported that he racked up a hefty bill with orders of Grey Goose screwdrivers and soul food. However, his waitress from that night is claiming he didn’t a pay a dime and walked off too. A source says:

“He was ordering all this stuff and he kept asking people what they want, and kept the drinks coming.

“The waitress was really sweet, she even helped his bodyguard, who sat at the bar while the group ate.

“She’s smiling like she’s going to get a good tip and she ends up looking for him after no one paid the bill. She asked specifically, ‘Is it okay if everyone is on your check? and he said, ‘Yes.’ She hands it to him, he hands it to his manager, his manager hands it to another guy in the group, who hands it back to Ne-Yo.”

It’s being said that the manager of the restaurant then ran outside to try to catch Ne-Yo and found him and his group at a nearby lounge partying. When he asked the group to fork over the money for the tab, he was told to back off by Ne-Yo’s bodyguard. Someone in the group said the bill would be paid but Ne-Yo’s bodyguard told the manager that the singer was too busy get his credit card.

The bill reportedly has still not been paid.

Ne-Yo’s camp hasn’t responded to the report as of yet.

  1. Well we know he’s not broke, he probably didn’t like the waitress and said the hell with paying. I’m not saying that’s ok but people do it all the time if they didn’t like the service they got.

  2. This a bad look. If you are going to eat and drink the whole restaurant up at least pay the freaking bill. Get it together.
