Trey Songz Admits to Being Heartbreaker & Getting Cheated on by First Love

Trey Songz talks relationships and getting cheating on by his first love in high school? R&B singer Trey Songz has made a name for himself when it comes to cranking out the baby making music as the Virginia native continues to remain very loyal to his R&B roots and has no current plans of crossing over into other genres of music. As Trey isn’t looking to give pop music a shot right now, he has taken a step into the world of acting and he recently landed a role in new movie “Baggage Claim.” Trey dished to the Rickey Smiley Morning Show crew on his role in “Baggage Claim” and says the character he takes on has a reputation for being a jerk towards women. However, Trey says when it comes to his own relationships, he is an honest man who doesn’t try to hide anything:

“My character is a little slimy…But as they say in Hollywood, it’s only an act. I’m pretty straight up, I don’t lie about nothing in a relationship.”

Yet the singer did admit he has broken hearts before as he spoke on a specific situation he encountered with a girl he was seeing:

“I was suppose to spend some time with this one girl [but] she got real busy. She was willing to put work to the side for me, but I didn’t want to mess her money up, so I was like ‘nah baby go ahead and handle that.’ I actually flew another girl to see me, and she found out.”

As a singer who writes his own music, Trey says he can truly relate to the things he sings about and reveals how the first girl he ever fell in love with hurt him to the core:

“I can’t write all these songs out of nowhere. The first girl I ever loved in high school, she cheated on me, I think that tainted me for a very long time.”
