Porsha Stewart Talks Kordell’s Sexuality & Explains Why She’s Keeping His Last Name

“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Porsha Stewart is in the middle of a nasty divorce from estranged husband Kordell Stewart, and both have been taking shots at each other via interviews and social media since it was confirmed they were heading for a divorce. Kordell has been defending his sexuality to the public ever since Porsha hinted on the show that she was beginning to question if he was on the down low since he lost interest in her physically, but Porsha isn’t helping his image any as she continues to discuss the rumors that have plagued him for years.

Porsha made an appearance on the Wendy Williams show this morning and of course Wendy asked the RHOA about her divorce and those pesky rumors surrounding Kordell’s sexuality. Here are the highlights of the interview.

On the divorce, Porsha says:

“In about 30 days, it will be finalized.”

 

Porsha also confirmed that she will be keeping “Stewart” as he last name, despite the divorce:

“I’m going to keep Stewart.

“It’s not his name, it’s my name. I was Porsha Williams and that was one part of my life before I got married. Marriage has taught me so much. I’m a whole other woman now. So I’m going to own that last name. It belongs to me.”

 

And on the rumors surrounding his sexuality, she says:

“Whether he is gay or whether he is on the down low had nothing to do with our breakup. To be very frank with you, the breakup had to do with the treatment I was receiving as a wife.

“I didn’t know who he was or about him until he came to a family event. My uncle was taking pictures, so I found out at that point. A couple of family events later on, I just kept hearing so much about it, I said I’m going to talk to him about it. There’s no way I could move to the next step and not talk about this. He was very detailed about the situation. And at the end of it he said there was no record, so I guess it can’t be true ‘cause there’s no record.

“I don’t know…take from that…that’s what he said.”

 

For those of you that don’t know, old rumors regarding Kordell’s days as the quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers suggest the retired NFL player was caught in the park by cops getting it on with another man. However, allegedly the cop didn’t arrest him because he was a high profile athlete at the time. Kordell has denied the rumor for years, and he apparently told Porsha there’s no truth to the rumors because he was never arrested. He even told Ryan Cameron of Atlanta radio station V-103 that someone made the whole thing up because he wasn’t “playing well” at the time. Wendy isn’t buying it though and hinted in her facial expressions that she thinks the rumors are true.
