Tamar Braxton doesn’t love her baby? Well that’s what some people figured after she admitted in an interview that she didn’t have an instant connection with her son. The R&B singer and reality star is keeping very busy these days considering her talk show “The Real” just got picked up for a full season by FOX and she just scooped up three Soul Train Music awards. She also just dropped a new Christmas album and it’s clear she has no plans to slow down anytime soon.

Tamar recently did a spread with Flaunt Magazine and she even dished on why she has no interest in having any more children. She says:

“God no. I hated being pregnant. I felt like Invasion of the Body Snatchers. It’s beautiful and it’s great just like everyone says, but there’s another side to it. My back. My feet. My skin went absolutely nuts. I had the itchies the whole day. Imagine scratching all day and you can never get to the itch.”

Tamar also explained once again not instantly having a connection with her son Logan:

“Yes. People lie to you. I was one hundred percent open and honest on Tamar and Vince because I was upset. I didn’t instantly connect with my baby, and no one told me this was common. I was jealous because Vince and the baby connected instantly. It’s not that I didn’t love him; it’s not that I didn’t want to connect with him. I was upset because I didn’t instantly connect with him. I didn’t cry when I first saw him. I was confused. I was like, ‘What do I do now?'”

And when it comes to her controversial music video for “Hot Sugar,” despite slamming Rihanna’s photographers about it on Instagram, she defended it and says people were too close minded:

“I thought it was brilliant. A lot of people are close-minded. It’s okay for men to dance in kilts! So what? It’s fashion, kids. There is life outside of your living room. It’s up to us—us being people who have seen the world and been around the world—to show you. How else are you going to see it?”

  1. She’ll probably change her mind about having more kids. A lot of women do. But who picked out that wig though? lol

  2. I’m so tired of black women rocking blonde hair. It does not look good on us. I don’t care what your complexion is.

    1. WOMEN LIKe YOU YOUR STATEMENT IS AN OPINION HONEY KNOW THAT!!
but really??? IS UR COMMENT GOING TO STOP THEM FROM WEARING IT?? So sad how African American WOMEN ALWAYS GOT SOME TO SAY BOUT EACH OTHER yes coming from a Latino woman mixed with JAMAICAN WE NEVER DO SH-T LIKE THIS REALLY SO UGLY N TOO MUCH SELF HATE!!
NOT ALL OF YOU!! But you are RIDICULOUS!!

      1. Black women look better with our natural hair and natural hair color. I’m an advocate of us loving our God given features. And I make no apologies for that. Self hate would be me cosigning them wearing cheap looking blonde wigs like you are. But I’m not surprised. You can’t even express yourself without typing in all caps. Now swerve.

  3. That Hot Sugar video was a Hot Mess. No one cared about her having gay men in the video. It was terrible because it looked cheap and she looked like a knockoff Beyonce. And that whole Instagram thing was lame. Just keep it real Tamar. You know it was terrible.
