TLC was all set for a comeback considering their VH1 biopic “CrazySexyCool” was a smash hit and the film actually gave their album sales a big time boost. Although they had lots of drama with LA Reid and his ex-wife Pebbles, the group decided to sign another record deal with the music executive. In fact, the group was supposed to be dropping a new album in 2014. But now it appears that their ongoing beef with Pebbles over how she was portrayed in the biopic may have caused them their record deal.
According to Pop Dust, TLC appears to have been dropped from Epic Records. The group’s fan site noticed first that the group is no longer listed on the artist roster on the label’s official website. It also appears that they have taken Epic Records off of their Facebook fan page and official website.
Many are already speculating that the recent move by Epic Records is most likely a result of all the drama that’s been going down with Pebbles. And it didn’t help that Pebbles got on “the Wendy Williams Show” and said she believed Chilli slept with LA Reid while they were married.
It’s possible LA Reid also doesn’t want to have any parts of the pending legal battle that will most likely go down between the group and his ex-wife as well.
Either way, there’s been no official confirmation yet from Epic Records or TLC that they have parted ways, but by the looks of the label’s website, it sure does look that way. However, Chilli told a fan not to be so quick to believe the reports. She tweets (read from top to bottom):

They probably don’t need to be working with LA Reid anyway. He’s not exactly known for helping artists make comebacks. Look at how useless his time with Ciara has been. She still flopped.
I don’t know why they signed to LA Reid again anyway! Made no sense to me.
That damn Pebbles. She’s making a big fuss out of some old a-s beef she forgot about until the movie came out. Smh.
Sigh…I can’t believe they are having all this drama over such an old feud. Pebbles is really making their case about her.
Now I hope this isn’t true. If so, the whole thing has gotten out of hand. TLC has been telling the same story about Pebbles for years. Pebbles is doing too much and she needs to let it go. She may not think she ripped them off, but it’s their right to feel otherwise. Just accept it and let it go.

Well good for them because LA Reid was only going to help them flop anyway. They need to work with some better people if they are serious about making a comeback anyway.

It makes sense. I’m sure Pebbles called up LA Reid and told him to choose a side and he chose hers. TLC should have never agreed to work with him again.

I doubt it, I love them, but I don’t think there are many people really checking for TLC like that.
Pebbles needs to sit her old azz down somewhere. The truth has been out on her for years! Get over it you crook!!!!

I was skeptical about them working with him again anyway. Hopefully they find success a different way, but either way I hope this rumor is true. No need to roll back in the same mud that tainted your success years ago.
