Dwyane Wade surely made Gabrielle Union’s year when he not only proposed, but made sure the engagement ring was gorgeous and expensive to boot. But the Miami Heat star has opened up about just how Gabby’s big day went down, and he decided it would be best to get his kids involved.
The Associated Press (via Yahoo! Sports) writes:
The three boys that the Miami Heat guard is raising, his two sons and a nephew, all were part of the engagement surprise, Wade said Sunday when he spoke out about the big news for the first time.
– His youngest son Zion held a sign with her name.
– His nephew Dahveon Morris’ sign said ”Will you.”
– And his oldest son Zaire’s sign read ”marry us?”
Bewildered, Union turned to Wade and saw him on bended knee, then realized what was happening. An 8 1/2-carat cushion cut diamond sealed the deal, and with that, Wade was an engaged man again.
D Wade says it was crucial to make sure the kids were involved because they are a package deal:
“Just a regular Saturday. My kids were involved in it. We asked her to marry all of us, not just me. We’re a package deal, so it was cool.”
Whatever dude.
Well I hope he puts as much work into the marriage!
We’ll just see how long the marriage last. Get a prenup!
He annoys me. I just hope Gabby knows what she’s getting herself into. He has commitment issues and he did cheat on his last wife with her. That’s a lousy foundation for a new marriage.
Sounds like it was a beautiful proposal. I’ll keep it positive and leave it at that.

People put more effort into the proposal and wedding rings than the actual marriage. I know this is what Gabby wanted, but I doubt it’s even worth it. D Wade has a nasty track record with the last woman he married. She saw how he does women he falls out of love with. Some women want to get married so bad they lack common sense.
He’s still a dog, and she’s too old to have let this man string her along for all those years before he proposed. I don’t understand some women.
Some women think it’s worth it just to say they have a man and they are married.

What the heck? Maybe y’all forgot how the last thing with Wade and his ex went down. SHE gave HIM the STD! By stepping out on the marriage. Then accused HIM of giving it to HER. Not the other way around.
I feel you but I thought it came out that both of them cheated one ash other? That’s why I’m all for D Wade moving on and Siohvaughan too. The marriage didn’t work, but I hope both of them can move on and be happy now with other people.
Gabby was slick. She made sure she became friends with Sio so she could start sleeping with D Wade behind her back. I knew it would end up this way when I saw that picture of them standing next to each other a few years ago. That’s why I didn’t feel bad for Gabby when D Wade cheated on her. I doubt he’s faithful now. But she stayed because well he’s a NBA star. Good luck with that girl.
Spirit- I was thinking the same thing. Every time someone says something about how horrible they are on here, I’m like, wasn’t his ex-wife the one that cheated and then paid her boyfriends bills with Wade’s money? Either way, I wish these two nothing but the best. They look happy and the world needs more happy people.
