Earlier this week we told you rumors were swirling suggesting Brandy Norwood’s engagement to music executive Ryan Press had been called off, and the speculation started when her own fans noticed that the R&B singer was no longer wearing her engagement ring nor has the couple been spotted together in public for months.
But now Brandy’s camp has stepped forward to confirm the rumors, and a rep from Brandy confirms to the YBF that the engagement is no more, for now:
A source in the couple’s close-knit circle revealed to TheYBF.com that after moving in together, the two decided marriage may not be in the cards right now. But we’re not ruling the couple completely out just yet.
We’ve learned that Brandy & Ryan have decided to take a step back to re-evaluate their relationship. And it’s very possible that after this mature and honest decision, they may rekindle their love again.
Interestingly enough, the site goes on to say that in the meantime, rumors suggest Ryan may have already started dating someone else. Apparently he went on a blind date thanks to a close friend recently and things went well.
Damn.
Well tis is life. The only thing I do hope she takes away from all of this is it’s probably best not to use interviews to persuade your man to propose to you. If he wants to marry you, he will do what he needs to do.

He didn’t want to marry her to begin with but she pressured him into it with all those interviews. Hopefully she will slow it down next time and not make her desperation for marriage an issue in her next relationship.

Wow I didn’t really have a good feeling about them but I was hoping I was wrong. I hope Brandy finds the right guy she has been through so much she deserves the best.

If they moved in and then realized things weren’t right, then they don’t need to take a “break.” They need to be done completely. Part of being married is living together. If it didn’t work out when you’re engaged, it won’t get better when you get married.

It may hurt now, but something wasn’t right about ole dude. I just got the feeling he was a leech and looking to get his hands on Brandy’s money. Again, I keep reading he’s a music executive, but why can’t anyone say who he’s worked with? That is a red flag to me.
I just want her to be happy! If Ryan ain’t it, then so be it. Life goes on and there are more men out here.
