It was rumored recently that R&B singer Keri Hilson and NBA star Serge Ibaka called it quits on their ongoing romance, but neither confirmed or denied the reports.

Interestingly enough, Keri finally did confirm that she is no longer dating Serge as she made a red carpet appearance for Kevin Hart’s new film “About Last Night.” After confirming she’s now single, she also explained why it’s hard to deal with a breakup in the public eye. She tells Hip Hollywood:

“That can be difficult. It can be difficult. I mean you can always do without any facet of your life being exposed and dealing with  it. Some things you want to deal with privately and you’re not really given that option all of the time.”

Keri also says she plans to sing about the breakup on her upcoming studio album:

“Yeah, most things I go through I have to write about. I have to. To be honest with my music, to be honest with my craft and for me to expect anyone to connect, it has to come from a place of honesty. So I absolutely explain what happened with everybody in my life. The only three men I’ve ever loved in my life…yeah.”

She should have never put her career on hold for him but then again her music career has been over.

I was rooting for this chick but her nasty attitude turned me off. Her Turning Me On joint got big and she decided to hop on the remix and take shots at female artists more established than her way too soon. I was done after that.

Yeah I feel you on that. I just couldn’t believe she got so cocky so soon. I mean it was just one hit and she was all arrogant like she had multiple hits like Beyonce and Rihanna. Smh.

There’s no doubt in my mind that’s why her career declined so fast. The way she came at Beyonce was so unnecessary. She thought it was cute but she hurt herself in the end. LOL.

I didn’t think people were really checking for Keri tho. I read they broke up and couldn’t care less. I do hope she comes out with another album because she’s a great songwriter. Singer? Nope.

So is this what she does now? Attend red carpet events and talk about an album that’s probably never going to see the light of day?

Her last album was ok. But she just never really did it for me. She lacks the it factor. She’s very pretty but very dull.

I hate they broke up because they looked cute together and seemed happy, but I doubt I’ll be checking for her album when…I mean if it comes out
