Phaedra Parks made headlines last year when it was confirmed that the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star secured her own spinoff show on Bravo, and “Rich People’s Problems” was supposed to focus on the reality star’s life as a lawyer to the stars. But now that her husband Apollo Nida is once again having legal problems of his own as he was recently arrested for bank fraud and identity theft, her show may suffer
Unfortunately for Phaedra, Apollo’s uncertain future has interfered with her spinoff. According to reports, Apollo’s arrest has caused “Rich People’s Problems” to be put on hold.
Daily Mail Online reports:
Not only is Nida facing decades in jail if found guilty but MailOnline has learned his arrest has put her latest reality show in jeopardy.
Parks is due to star in a spin off show later this year called Rich People’s Problems.
The show was to focus on Park’s legal career in the Atlanta area where she bills herself as a “super sassy but always classy attorney to the stars.”
She represented Bobby Brown during his 2004 trial for assaulting his then wife Whitney Houston as well as providing legal counsel to rap stars.
But a source at Bravo, who produce the Real Housewives series, said the series could be placed on hold while TV chiefs wait to see the outcome of what happens to her husband.
“All options are being looked at,” said an executive with Bravo TV.
Uh-oh… This is not good for Phaedra. My question is will this new charge force them off of RHOA?
After reading the info about Apollo’s arrest, I could tell this was weighing on him and Phaedra during filming of this current season.

It makes sense. If Apollo does go back to jail, it’s a bad look on Phaedra as a lawyer. Bravo would be smart to pull the show if that happens.

With another reality show in the works I still don’t understand why Apollo and maybe Phaedra were dealing with illegal activities. Don’t they have enough money and notoriety to make legal money.

What a shame. I just don’t understand why Apollo and possibly Phaedra opted to go the criminal route when they had legitimate money coming in. Makes no sense to me.

I would say this is what Phaedra gets for marrying down but she’s just as much of a criminal as Apollo is.
