“Scandal” star Columbus Short recently got into a bloody bar brawl over his wife, and the drama has even caused his role on the hit show to be in jeopardy since Shonda Rhimes loathes her actors getting tied to negative press.
But Columbus just got some very good news, and he may not even have to worry about any charges being filed against him from the bar fight that left the victim in very bad shape.
TMZ reports:
The victim’s lawyer tells TMZ, he’s been in contact with Columbus’ management to come to some sort of settlement without involving police. We’re told the victim has made it clear to investigators he doesn’t want the case pursued criminally.
The reason … the lawyer tells us both men are tight with the same people — the alleged fight went down at a family member’s engagement party — so the victim wants to resolve this as amicably as possible.
If Columbus settles with the victim, he will most likely have to pay all hospital bills and medical expenses.
He’s really lucky. Now he needs to stay out of mess so he can keep his job.
He needs to work on his temper. I had no ideas he had this much going on. Sheesh.
If you have enough money you can get rid of all your problems.
He’ll probably be in trouble again in a few months. Dude has some issues. It’s always the fine ones.

He reminds me of one of those people who gets a good thing and does whatever he can to ruin it. I hope he gets his ish together asap. Shonda does NOT play. She will fire him in a heartbeat and kill him off the show like she does 85% of the characters who pissed her off behind the scenes. lol
