Chris Brown may be praising his on and off girlfriend Karrueche Tran for being so supportive of his music career as he can sit back and enjoy the success of his latest studio album “X,” but it’s possible his mother Joyce Hawkins may not be a fan of the relationship.
Not one to shy away from sharing her feelings on her Twitter account and even calling out Chris’ entourage and friends, Joyce’s recent tweet has people talking and some are detecting major shade.
She recently tweeted the following:
Just to refresh your memory, on December 25, 2012, Chris and Rihanna went public with their second attempt at romance and were photographed together court-side at a Lakers game.
I love Chris but his mother is one of the reasons he has the issues he has. She enables him. He is a grown man who is capable of choosing who he wants to be with. She needs to accept that and not push her son to get back into a toxic relationship. The relationship he had with Rihanna was toxic for the both of them.

I agree… That is why he got upset with her while he was in rehab. I love u Momma J but it seems status and fame are more important than your sons happiness. He does not want to be with RiRi, se get they would have been a power couple but the key here is would have past tense.

Once again this lady is out of place! What the hell is wrong with her. Chris and Rihanna do not need to be together. Matter of fact Chris doesn’t need to be with anybody until he gets himself together emotionally & mentally. She needs to come to the realization that her son is not a catch or a prize he has real problems and being in a volatile relationship won’t help him.

It seems like Rihanna is the only one who understands this relationship is over for good. Chris hasn’t accepted it and neither has his mother. They need help.

This is really sad when you think about it. She wants her son to get back into a relationship that was very toxic for him AND Rihanna and refuses to accept that Rihanna is happy and moved on when Joyce is a victim of domestic violence herself.

Now we all know that we’ve all had that one person mama dun told us about and we swore up and down she didn’t know what she was talking about but in the long run she was absolutely right.I don’t think for one second this lady doesn’t want to see her son happy,maybe it’s more to this story than we know we’re on the out side looking in and although we’d like to think we know the tea we really don’t! In my opinion Chris should find someone new and get a fresh start.I wish him the best with whatever he does.
