Rapper Nicki Minaj’s romance with Safaree Samuels has been on and off for years, and their most recent breakup was reportedly over Safaree not being able to handle Nicki’s success in the music industry.
Interestingly enough, TMZ is now claiming that cops had to intervene is the off and on again couple’s most recent tiff.
The site reports:
Here’s what we know. During the summer Nicki and Safaree Samuels got into an argument. She started screaming, he got pissed, and she EXPLODED in anger, grabbing a bat and chasing him out of the house. She wisely chose property over person, and pulverized the 2012 Benz.
And for bad measure, she threw his clothes in the garbage — just like in the movies.
Law enforcement sources tell us … cops were called to the house but no arrests were made. Safaree was escorted out of the house and left.
TMZ says Nicki wasn’t arrested for damaging the car because she actually owns the Mercedes.
In related news, as we told you recently, rumor has it Nicki and Safaree quietly got back together since their last split.

It sounds like Nicki and this Safaree person have a very volatile relationship. Both should move on and cut their losses before this ends up getting even more violent.

I heart Nicki but she really needs to let this damn man go. Just because someone was with you before success doesn’t mean you have to be with that person forever. People grow up and grow apart. It’s life. She needs a man with his own money anyway. A boss should be with another boss.
