As the protests over Mike Brown continue in Ferguson, it’s apparent the police department isn’t done proving just why the cries of injustice regarding police brutality aren’t invalid.
Days after it was confirmed Mike Brown’s killer Darren Wilson won’t be indicted, it’s no shocker that the department has instead decided to possibly go after the slain teen’s stepfather.
ABC News writes:
Police are looking into whether Head should be charged for inciting a riot, Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson confirmed in a Monday interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity.
“We are pursuing those comments, and there’s a lot of discussion going on about that right now, but I really can’t get into that at this time,” Jackson said.
No arrests have been made in the matter, with the St. Louis County Police Department stating that it is “currently looking into this as a part of the entire investigation that includes the arsons, looting and destruction of property.”
Attorneys for the Brown family were quick to denounce Head’s words, but asked for understanding during a moment of emotional pain.
“Don’t condemn them for being human,” family attorney Benjamin Crump said Nov. 25.
Sadly, I knew they were going to retaliate on the family.

As a black man, I find all of this disheartening and discouraging. It’s so hard to be black in America.
