J Cole had a huge first week with his latest studio album, and now it’s been confirmed that the rapper has already reached gold status in just two weeks.

HYPETRAK writes:

It looks like the critical praise for J. Cole’s latest opus, 2014 Forest Hill Drive, is followed by commercial success. After the album has reached 371,228 sold copies and the top spot on Billboard 200 in its first week, it has now surpassed more than 500k in sales with another 135k units moved in its second week, earning him another gold plaque to his wall. Not too bad for an album that has been released with virtually no promotion.

The rapper now has three consecutive gold certified albums.

Congrats to J Cole.

  1. This album is so good! All I’ve been listening to lately is this album, deangelo, and nicki minaj. Best things out right about now

  2. I’ve heard his album & liked every song. I told someone that I was actually going to buy it & they looked at me crazy & said to download for free. I’m like nah, this some good music I’ll pay for artists like this so they can stick around. Hopefully it’ll make these crap rappers like Young Thug disappear.

  3. He’s always with the people in protests denouncing mistreatment of minorities. This is is a way people are appreciating his artistry and saying thank you at the same time for his support. He is one of the only artist who will be there genuinely and be seen marching with people instead of showing support from far. So happy for him. When you are with the people, the people will be with you.
