Nicki Minaj is sill doing press rounds to promote her latest album “The Pinkprint,” but the rapper is also going through a messy break up with her on and off again boo Safaree Samuels.
The other day both took to Twitter to blast each other, and in a new interview Nicki appears to admit she played a role in their demise.
Nicki tells Elliott Wilson that now that it’s over, she’s ready to be with someone who appreciates how hard she works, but perhaps she did work too much and it made the relationship suffer.
She says:
“I want someone to appreciate how hard I work.
“I lost a big part of my life, and one of the reasons was because I was a workaholic. I couldn’t focus on anyone else. Maybe they needed more attention, and I take care of my whole family. So if I’m gonna choose between working my a*s off and giving you, one human being, all of my attention? You might get forgotten sometimes. Not because I don’t love you, but because I got the weight of the f - - king world on my shoulders.”

But when will she admit that she treated him like trash?
She’s never going to admit that. LOL.

Yeah I’m definitely thinking this breakup is a stunt.
I don’t think it is. I wish it was though. lol
I’m glad Nicki is admitting to her role in the break up. I think both of them played apart in their break up. In a relationship it’s about sacrificing sometimes for the other person. Giving someone your time and affection can be underestimated sometimes it’s all people want.
Sooooo is she going to talk about the actual album? LOL.
I think it was more than working too much that hurt this relationship. One of my friends sent me some videos of Nicki and Safaree together and she could be harsh to him at times. I can see why he said she didn’t respect him. Sometimes when a woman makes more money than her man, she loses that respect she had for him before she was successful. It can doom a relationship.
She dogged him out all the time. She talked to him like he was a child in front of people.
That song she did with Drake and wayne is so disrespectful. Just imagine if it was the other way around. She has no respect for him or else she would never allow that song to release. The More money Niki has the less respect she has for that guy. I think all this get to her head and because she’s the breadwinner, she thinks he should just do as she says,but Karma has a way of boomerang on you a-s. the only think goes up and don’t come down is smoke.

Nicki keeps trying to pretend she’s some victim but she is a Sag. They aren’t easy to be with.
Treat others how you want to be treated. Nicki did that man wrong and he held her down for years. She has a nasty attitude and always threw her money in his face. He’s better off without her.
