Kanye West is reportedly working on his next studio album, so as a gift to his fans, he dropped a new track just in time for the holidays.

The song is entitled “Only One,” and it’s reportedly a tribute to his daughter North and rapped in the perspective of his deceased mom Donda.

Rap-Up writes:

Happy New Year! Kanye West welcomes 2015 with brand new music. The rap god teams with the legendary Paul McCartney on “Only One,” which went to iTunes on New Year’s Eve.

North West’s father shows a softer side on the tender tribute to his one-and-a-half-year-old daughter, who is pictured on the cover art, shot by Inez and Vinoodh. An Auto-Tuned Yeezy sings from the perspective of his late mother Donda West, who passed away in 2007.

“I talked to God about you, he said he sent you an angel / And look at all that he gave you / You asked for one and you got two,” sings ‘Ye, while McCartney plays piano.

  1. You can tell Kanye has lost his passion for music. Anyway, as usual, they use their little girl for publicity and a means to be likable. It’s so clear.

  2. We’re supposed to be moved by this when in real life he’s hardly ever around his wife and daughter and spends more time in Paris with Riccardo? F-ck out of here with this damage control.

  3. Kanye Kardashian. Like a true Kardashian he’s using his daughter for PR reasons. He’s fitting right in with the klan now.

  4. I can count on one hand how many pics I’ve seen of this man with his child. Negropean please. Have several seats, like the one your wife sat your small child in for photo ops at fashion shows.
