While folks were busy on social media trying to dissect whether TLC’s latest interview was shade to Rihanna and Beyonce or not, the pop superstar decided to forego even responding and dropped a new track instead.
The song, which is entitled “FourFiveSeconds” is definitely a new direction for Rih, and it’s all guitar with a feature from Kanye West and Paul McCartney.

Wasn’t what I was expecting but it’s ok.
The timing of this is so perfect. TLC was just saying how Rih and Bey don’t do anything innovative and different, and here’s Rih releasing a song that is totally out the box for her. She’s growing as an artist and continues to prove her naysayers wrong.
