Nicki Minaj has been making headlines as of late for her messy breakup with Safaree Samuels and rumored budding romance with Meek Mill, but the Young Money rapper has also made headlines in the past for making her annoyances with the music industry known too.
Hours ago Nicki once again hinted at her frustrations with the music industry in a recent Instagram post, and some are thinking she’s unhappy with the current streaming services:
The streaming services are hurting the artists’ pockets. They can only make money by touring and endorsements now.
Then she should be mad at Baby too because he’s been stealing from her and everyone else forever.
Agreed.
The best thing to do now is to just go independent. That way you make more money on the little album sales you do get.
She’s not the only artist frustrated right now. Spotify and the like have really changed things for the worst.
If she’s referring to sites and apps like Spotify she should pull a Taylor Swift and remove her music. I don’t know if that would really help Nicki but it did wonders for Taylor.
True. Bey didn’t put her whole album on there until she went multi-platinum. That was smart on her part.
Nicki is always in her feelings.
