Mendeecees Harris has a wedding special airing soon on VH1 with fellow “Love and Hip Hop New York” star Yandy Smith, but the reality star still has some ongoing legal issues to tackle.
Mendeecees was arrested for felony drug charges over a year ago, and he just plead guilty to the charges Tuesday afternoon.
Democrat and Chronicle writes:
Love & Hip Hop star Harris, 36, pleaded guilty to narcotics conspiracy in front of U.S. District Judge Frank Geraci Jr. It took nearly an hour for Harris to answer all of the questions related to what Geraci called “a rather complicated agreement.”
During the appearance, Harris admitted he was involved in a drug trafficking operation that between 2005 and 2012 shipped cocaine and heroin to the Rochester region.
Under an agreement with federal prosecutors, Harris also turns over money from his television show and paid appearances. He’s paid after every episode airs. That money, which the federal government will keep, has totaled more than $103,000, said his attorney Donald Thompson.
Mendeecees is facing up to ten years in prison, and/or a $15,000 to $5 million fine.
If he has to give them his VH1 earnings, they are probably just going to fine him and call it a day. I don’t think he’s going back to jail.
Agreed. Seems like they’re just going through the motions. But we’ll see.

And this is the man Yandy wanted as a husband smh. I said it before I’ll say it again she ain’t nothing but another Phaedra in the making.
He’s probably going to get a plea deal and either not get any more jail time or just a couple of years if he does. I know it says he could up to ten years, but I don’t see that actually happening.
What stood out to me is he’s already paying them back by giving them all his VH1 checks. All they care about is money. He’s not going back to prison.
I thought he was pleading non guilty when this first started.

This is what Erica was talking about. Now why is this stuff not being filmed for LHHNY? Mona is always protecting Yandy. Mendeecees was a drug dealer but she still gets to pretend everything is perfect every season. LOL.
Yandy’s image will always be protected by Mona. It’s unfair but it is what it is.
This was the best Yandy could do? I refuse to believe that.

Now I see why they are doing the wedding special. They clearly need the money to pay back the feds. Yandy loves this man but he’s already draining her pockets.
It’s about to get real.
