Beautiful actress Nia Long caused a bit of controversy when she told Rolling Out Magazine that she wasn’t really pressing marriage and found happiness in her longtime romance with Spurs Assistant Coach Ime Udoka, but now it’s rumored Nia may now be engaged.

The 44-year old was spotted out recently rocking a sparkler on her left hand, her reps confirmed to E! news, that after five years of dating, Ime (37) popped the question. The two met in 2010, and had their first son, Kez – Nia’s youngest – in 2011. Nia also has a 14-year-old son, Massai, from a previous relationship.

I’m glad he finally proposed. I think it’s messed up how some men will have kids with women and not even think about marriage. In a lot of cases having kids with someone is just as much of a permanent bond as marriage.
