Nicki  Minaj made headlines weeks ago when she confronted Miley Cyrus during the Video Music Awards.

Their beef stems from the fact that Nicki expressed on Twitter that she felt “Anaconda” didn’t receive enough nominations, and she felt her body type and race played a huge part in the snubs.

Taylor Swift disagreed but ended up apologizing to Nicki but Miley had some words for Nicki about the incident in an interview.

Now Nicki has more to say about the situation in her interview with the New York Times.

On the situation, Nicki says:

“I saw [Cyrus] just looking at me, with her face screwed up, and I thought, What the!

“The fact that you feel upset about me speaking on something that affects black women makes me feel like you have some big balls. You’re in videos with black men, and you’re bringing out black women on your stages, but you don’t want to know how black women feel about something that’s so important?

“Come on, you can’t want the good without the bad. If you want to enjoy our culture and our lifestyle, bond with us, dance with us, have fun with us, twerk with us, rap with us, then you should also want to know what affects us, what is bothering us, what we feel is unfair to us. You shouldn’t not want to know that.”

Nicki also had to check the interviewer when they brought up Drake and Meek Mill’s feud. Click next for the details.

Now why didn’t Nicki say this from jump? Anyway, the Drake and Meek thing is old news now. I can’t believe they are still asking her about it.

This needs to be her last time talking about Miley. Miley’s on her last 5 minutes. Let her fade back into irrelevance in peace.

Nikki is a hypocrite. She’s always somewhere naked or approving her “bent over” statue. So she can’t act like Miley is a cultural appropriator, but maybe she should stop being a walking stereotype….

Nicki is being fake. When did she start caring about black women?

Glad she checked the interviewer. Why’re we women always bearing the brunt of the responsibility for what our men choose to do? They’re not babies, ask them if they thrive off that drama sh-t! I’ve not always been a fan of how she’s conducted herself throughout her career, but much like Rihanna’s interview, I enjoyed this one!

I didn’t like how Nicki handled Miley at the VMAs. She def gave life to the stereotypes about black women and should have played it smarter than that.

I agree with what she said about Miley but sometimes you wonder if this is coming from a genuine place. Nicki is very calculated these days.

She should’ve smacked the shyt out of Miley…..cuz if it were the streets she would’ve LMAO…. Naw but on the real. I am so annoyed wit these White bishes that like to swing on Black Disney…..and not respecting the Black Woman….cuz she is the reason the men are here

That interviewer was a snake though. You can’t blame Nicki for what two grown men choose to do.
