Before her recent performance on DWTS, Tamar revealed that she honestly feels she’s the best dancer out of the group.
Her dance partner Val Chmerkovskiy claims Tamar is upset people have taken her confidence out of context.
PEOPLE writes:
“She doesn’t care as much about getting low scores. That’s life. She’s okay with that,” her DWTS partner Val Chmerkovskiy told PEOPLE after Monday’s show. “It’s more about the package [shown before our dance].”
Chmerkovskiy is referring to a video played before their dance where Braxton is asked by a producer, “How do you feel about yourself in the competition? Where do you stand?” She quietly responds, “It’s hard for me to say without me coming across shady, but I’m probably the best dancer in the competition.”
“Everybody is asked to say something in a friendly way [about being competitive] but, like I said, all that banter out of context is going to look extremely rude and a bit vain,” Chmerkovskiy explained. “And given her nature in general, it can really come off as negative. That’s what she’s upset about.”

I don’t know why people are acting surprised Tamar has always had a level of arrogance about her it’s her personality. So I’m not understanding why people are acting so offended now.
This is white America now that she’s dealing with though, and they don’t know her like we do. I honestly don’t see her as being arrogant at all, just confident. Bet if Bindi had said it everyone would’ve been like “Awwww, she’s so cute….!”
Honestly I don’t watch Dancing with the stars so I’m just basing my opinion from what I know about Tamar already. I just have always gotten the cockiness vibe from her but it wouldn’t surprise me like you said if White america made it seem worse than it really is. Lets be honest black people are judged more harshly than white people.
In this scenario she is the best dancer to me, but the show has never been about the best winning, it’s been about favorites. This might be a way to get Tamar out if the folks want Steve Irwin’s daughter Bindi to win instead.
My grandmother watches Dancing with the stars and has said that before that they play favorites on the show. Like I said I don’t watch the show but the clips I’ve seen of Tamar she slaying.
