“Empire” star Jussie Smollett is enjoying the popularity of the FOX television show, but he’s fully aware just like everyone else that the ratings have been dipping in its second season.
Some fans of the show seem to think the writing could be the culprit of the decline in ratings, while others feel too many celebrity cameos could be a problem too.
Regardless, Jussie isn’t quite ready to panic just yet.

He better be worried. FOX has a rep for canceling shows quick. They need to fire whoever is writing season 2.
It’s just not as good. The season finale better be a good one or the ratings will get much worse.
Boring season.
They were never going to keep those super high ratings but the writing this season has been horrible it’s just all over the place. I don’t even watch it on time anymore I just record it and watch it later I watch Black-ish instead.
Sh-t me too. Blackish is funny as hell.
I think he knows the writing could be better.
It’s been a very disappointing season. Things need to pick up soon.

It’s boring and all over the place. They’re literally throwing out everything but the kitchen sink. I’m still irritated that Hakeem was PTSD for all of 20 minutes and then it was gone like nothing ever happened. They need to fire their writers and get better talent.
I’m not saying the writers for last season were perfect but they were much better. Did they fire those writers because these writers for season two are trash!
How did Hakeem win that battle though? I thought he lost.
I think this is how FOX feels too. They won’t panic until it isn’t number one in ratings anymore.
