Naturi recalls struggling with the obstacles of being in 3LW and enduring mistreatment from her former group members Adrienne Bailon and Kiely Williams.
She tells Ebony Magazine:
“I’ve been thorugh some things in my career where I was told I wasn’t marketable…or the right look.
“It was hard. Honestly, I was a teenager. You’re young, you’re still developing who you are…tryna figure out how you want to look. You need to be uplifted, not degraded.
“It just lets me know that I am beautiful. I am smart. I am supposed to be here. Nobody can take that away from me no matter what somebody else says.”
She won.
Big time.
She seems so sweet and humble. I’ll continue to root for her.
